2016/17 Prize Money Schedule
World Snooker has today announced the prize money schedule for the 2016/17 World Snooker Tour.

The addition of new world ranking tournaments and significant prize money increases for several existing tournaments will see total prize money this season top £10,000,000 for the first time.
Prize money for all rounds of this season’s World Championship and UK Championship will increase, with the champions set to take home record top prizes of £375,000 and £170,000 respectively.
The total prize money for the Riga Masters will increase from €125,000 to €200,000, with the winner’s prize doubling to €50,000.
Prize money at the Players Championship and Welsh Open are also set to increase, with the Cardiff tournament now joining new events in England, Scotland and Ireland to form the Home Nations Series. Any player able to win all four Home Nations Series events will pocket a £1,000,000 bonus.
Returning to the calendar this season are the Indian Open and World Open events, while the Shoot Out will become a ranking event for the first time.
Re-ranking dates
World Snooker have also today confirmed the dates on which the world rankings will be updated throughout the 2016/17 season, including the dates on which money earned during the 2014/15 season will be removed from the world ranking list.
The first updated list will be issued following the conclusion of the Riga Masters later this month.
