Bingham Into Last 16

World Champion Stuart Bingham boosted his hopes of winning his first title of the season by reaching the last 16 at the Dafabet Gibraltar Open on Saturday.

Bingham beat Craig Steadman 4-1 and Ding Junhui 4-2 to reach the last 32 then saw off Thor Chuan Leong 4-0 with a top break of 53.

Ricky Walden came from 2-0 down in the last 32 to beat Tom Ford 4-2 with a top break of 102.

Michael White top scored with 92 in a 4-1 win over Rod Lawler while Mark King scored a 4-2 win over Mark Davis.

Oliver Lines came from 3-2 down to beat Ryan Day 4-3 while Andrew Higginson saw off Anthony Hamilton 4-1.

Alfie Burden beat Robbie Williams 4-1 thanks to runs of 57, 63, 51, 89 and 79.
