18 Centuries So Far In Milton Keynes

Big breaks have been flying in at the Coral Tour Championship with 18 centuries made in the quarter-finals.

Tour Championship sponsor Coral is donating £100 for every century break made to WST’s official charity Jessie May Children’s Hospice at Home, so £1,800 has already been raised this week.

Shaun Murphy became the first player ever to make six centuries in a match and lose as he went down 9-8 against Mark Allen.

Stephen Maguire and Shaun Murphy both made six tons in their opening matches – a new record for a best-of-17 contest. Maguire faces Judd Trump in the first semi-final today, then Mark Allen takes on Mark Selby on Thursday.

The first two events in the series, the Coral World Grand Prix and Coral Players Championship, produced 51 centuries and a tremendous donation of £5,100 was made to Jessie May in March.

Jessie May Nurses provide vital respite and palliative care for terminally ill children, and their families across the South West. They desperately need your help now – more than ever. For more information and to make a donation visit www.jessiemay.org.uk
