Challenge Tout Event Five Announcement

Following receipt of a number of comments from amateur players competing in the Challenge Tour event 5 which was cancelled, World Snooker have reviewed the status of this event.

It has been decided that in order to be fair to those competitors who had already competed in Challenge Tour 5, we will play the original event through to completion over 28-29 February 2020, at The Winchester in Leicester. This will mean that all matches from the original draw that had been played will be honoured and the outcomes of those matches will be applied to the rescheduled event. Those matches from the original draw that had not been played, or finished, will be re-scheduled and will start again from 0-0.

There will be no entry fee for this rescheduled event and the re-funded entry fee from the original event will be treated as a contribution towards expenses incurred.

Those players who competed in the original event who were still in the event at the point that the event was cancelled, and want to compete in the rescheduled event, will need to enter the Challenge Tour event on the players portal before the deadline, being 12 noon on Wednesday 5 February 2020. Any players who have entered this event already but do not qualify for this event under the conditions outlined above, will be refunded their entry fee.

The format of play will be issued after the closing date.

To clarify, only players who entered the original Challenge Tour Event 5 (Brighton) event may enter the re-scheduled event.
