Coral Raise More For Jessie May

Jessie MayNorthern Ireland Open title sponsor Coral has raised another £3,150 for Jessie May Children’s Hospice At Home thanks to the century breaks made at the snooker event in Belfast last week.

Coral pledged to donate £50 for every century break made during the tournament and there were 63 tons made over the seven days of the Coral Home Nations event. That’s exactly the same number that were made at the Coral English Open last month, again raising £3,150 for the charity.

Jessie May Children’s Hospice at Home, based in Bristol, has become World Snooker’s official charity partner for the 2016/17 season. Jessie May provides a hospice at home service for terminally ill children, offering care to families in the Bristol area.

Lindsey Horton, Corporate Partnerships Officer for Jessie May, said: We can’t thank Coral enough for their amazing generosity and support. This wonderful donation will make such a difference to our Nurses and families and we are truly grateful.”

Simon Clare, Coral PR Director, added: “The Coral Northern Ireland Open was a fantastic tournament with some top class snooker played and we were delighted to see 63 centuries made. We are only too happy to make this further donation to Jessie may to support the marvellous work they are doing for families.”
