Nigel Oldfield, Operations Director

On leaving school at 18, Nigel joined British Aerospace (home of Concorde) and served a three-year apprenticeship, obtaining a degree in Commercial Studies, integrated with working in various departments over this period. On completion of the apprenticeship Nigel joined the Public Relations department full time.

Nigel joined the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA) in 1988 as Assistant Tournament Director, eventually leaving in 2000 and forming his own agency: Nigel Oldfield Sports Promotions (NOSP).

Since forming NOSP, Nigel has had the pleasure of working across a number of different sports including boxing, darts, rugby league, football, bowls, basketball and pool. In 2008 he became involved in snooker again, initially with the Matchroom Premier League and then joining the Board of World Snooker Limited in 2010 as Director of Operations.
