Cowdroy Set For NHS Fundraiser
Amateur cueist Bradley Cowdroy is set to embark on a snooker marathon in order to raise money for the NHS Charities Together Appeal.
The former England under 16 player will aim to be on the baize for 24 consecutive hours this weekend. Cowdroy will undertake the fundraiser at home in Bournemouth on Saturday 18th April, to mark what would have been the first day of the Betfred World Championship.
Cowdroy said: โI am very much fighting to try and realise my dream of turning professional one day, but I am fully aware that many people are simply fighting to stay alive due to the Coronavirus at this difficult time.
โThat is why Iโve decided to attempt this 24-hour snooker marathon. I will be doing various different challenges including trickshots, 147 attempts and classic shot recreations. I want to try and raise as much money as possible for the NHS Charities Together Appeal, which supports all of the heroic NHS staff and volunteers working tirelessly to keep everyone safe and alive.โ
