Dott Backs Scottish County Championship
Former World Champion Graeme Dott is supporting this month’s Scottish County Championship and hoping it will help promising young players develop their talent.
The event will take place on Sunday July 27th at the Q Club in Glasgow featuring teams from Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Red Triangle Cumbernauld, West of Scotland and Dumfries.
Larkhall’s Dott said: “It’s good for them to play in a tournament at a young age and get to know what it’s like to be a snooker player. We’ve been lucky that Scotland has produced a lot of good players and hopefully we will see a new batch coming through.
“I’ve just started coaching and I’m looking for young players with good technique. I would like nothing better than to coach a young Scottish kid.”
Dylan Craig, the European Under-18 champion, added: “I’m looking forward to the tournament, hopefully it will be a good turn out.”
