Young snooker fan Collum Coffey met his idol John Higgins at the Coral UK Championship today, and even played a frame against the four-time World Champion.
Ten-year-old Collum, from Northern Ireland, is living with kidney failure and had a kidney transplant in 2012. He loves snooker, has a top break of 89 and has beaten players four times his age.
Thanks to Make A Wish, Collum was able to travel to York with his mum and meet his hero Higgins. They played a frame on one of the official practice tables this morning, with Collum winning on the final black.
He also met stars including Steve Davis, Dennis Taylor, John Parrott and Willie Thorne, enjoyed a backstage tour and was introduced to the crowd by MC Rod Walker. Collum then watched Higgins play his second round match against Jamie Cope.
