Evans Into Third Round At Q School

Reanne Evans reached the last 32 of Q School event one with a 4-2 win over Greg Casey on Sunday.
Ten-time Ladies World Champion Evans had earlier beaten Erik Wilson in her first match with a top break of 63. She needs three more wins in the event in Burton to earn a two-year World Snooker Tour card. Her next opponent on Monday is Ashley Hugill, who beat Ashley Carty 4-1.
Devon’s Andy Hicks, who reached the semi-finals of the World Championship, UK Championship and the Masters during his hey-day, scored a 4-2 win over Sean Bullock with a top break of 86 and now meets Darryn Walker.
Oliver Brown, who scored some impressive results as an amateur last season including a 5-0 win over Ding Junhui, saw off former pro Elliot Slessor 4-1 with a top break of 92.
China’s highly-rated Zhao Xintong beat Andreas Ploner 4-1 while Switzerland’s Alexander Ursenbacher remained on course for a return to the pro tour by beating Robin Otto 4-1 with a top break of 110.
Dylan Craig made a 116 in a 4-0 win over Chris Jones while Sheffield’s Adam Duffy saw off David John 4-2.
