Fletcher Wins Media World Title

WST’s digital media manager Sam Fletcher won the Jessie May Media World Championship, contested by journalists and broadcasters working behind the scenes at the Crucible over the past fortnight.

After knocking out the Metro’s Nick Metcalfe, BBC’s Neil Goulding, WST’s Roddy Bisset and then beating Media Masters champion Michael McMullan in the semi-finals, Fletcher came up against Action Plus photographer Mark Stephenson in the one-frame final. A close contest came down to the colours, and Fletcher won it on the pink.

All entry fees were donated to WST’s official charity Jessie May Children’s Hospice at Home. The Bristol-based charity provides nursing care at home for children and young people with life limiting conditions who are not expected to live beyond the age of 19.
