Format Change For Snooker’s European Masters

Snooker’s new European Masters ranking event in October will feature 32 players going to the final venue in Romania.

The tournament will run from October 3 to 9 in Bucharest and it will be the first ever professional snooker event in Romania.

This is a change to the previously announced format of 128 players at the venue. Instead, qualifying rounds will be staged at the Guild Hall in Preston from September 26 to 28, with all players needing to win two matches to make it to Bucharest.

The entry deadline for players will be August 24 and the seeding cut off point will now be after the Paul Hunter Classic in August.

Ticket details for the European Masters will be announced soon.
