Foundation Kids Win League
Four years ago, the Paul Hunter Foundation Roadshow was invited by WPBSA World Snooker Coach Andrew Highfield to the Golden Cue in Bilston, West Midlands.
A group of kids, backed by enthusiastic parents, had begun playing snooker and their passion for the game was obvious. This passion has turned into success with the Paul Hunter Foundation winning Division 6 of the Staffs and West Midlands snooker league in its very first season.
Led by Lee Edwards, supported by Andrew Highfield, the Foundation group runs each Monday from 6pm to 8pm and is free of charge.
Contact Lee Edwards on 07834 723836 if you are interested in attending.
Chris Lovell, on behalf of the Foundation, said: “This is a great achievement by the team in the Midlands and just goes to show that by pulling together as a group, kids can receive the support they need to be winners. Congratulations to all of the players who we can see developing. The group have attended the Crucible for Paul Hunter Day so who knows, one day we may be watching one of them play there.”
