I’m Really Enjoying My Snooker Again – Gilbert

World number 17 David Gilbert said that he is enjoying a fresh perspective on the sport after securing a 4-0 whitewash win against China’s Zhao Xintong at the BetVictor Gibraltar Open.

The Tamworth cueman is currently engaged in a battle to clinch a spot in the world’s top 16 and qualify automatically for the Crucible. Gilbert has had a difficult season so far and his only trip to the quarter-finals of a ranking event to date in the campaign came at the BetVictor Shoot Out.

Gilbert said: “I’m definitely not playing my best, but I’m getting better. I feel a lot better. Over the last few weeks and months, I’ve put a lot of time and effort in. I’m really enjoying my snooker again.”
