Judge Dismissed By Maguire

Stephen Maguire has never been beyond the quarter-finals of the BetVictor Scottish Open but he’ll have the chance to improve that record this year as a 4-0 victory over Michael Judge booked a place in the final stages.

Six-time ranking event winner Maguire reached the last eight of this event a year ago, and will hope to go deeper this time. Breaks of 53 and 54 helped the Glaswegian beat Judge and secure his progress to the last 64.

Mark King recovered from the loss of the first frame to beat Si Jiahui 4-1, while Jamie Jones came from 2-0 down to beat Jak Jones 4-2. Ben Woollaston top scored with 59 in a 4-2 defeat of Chris Wakelin.
