Junior Cue Sports Thriving in Poland

Young Polish cueists wait for their turn to compete

New WCBS president Jason Ferguson took time out from last week’s World Confederation of Billiard Sports General Assembly to visit the Banda Club in Wroclaw’s Skytower to open a junior billiards tournament that had been set up to showcase a schools programme organised by the Polish Billiards Association.

Over 100 children were in attendance to welcome the new WCBS president, board and delegates. The WCBS representatives were joined by the organising committee of the World Games in opening the tournament. A selection of the top 16 Polish snooker players participated in a separate competition.

Ferguson reminded the large crowd of young billiard sports players to continue aspire to meet their ambitions.
