Little Sutton Primary School in Sutton Coldfield has just completed its first term as part of the WPBSA’s Steve Davis Little Nuggets Primary School programme.
Steve’s Little Nuggets is part of Cue Zone Into Schools, the WPBSA’s grassroots project.
The school purchased two 6-foot tables, which are used daily by school children. A school teacher will be attending a WPBSA coaching course in order to gain either the level one or level two certificate to ensure the children receive the appropriate guidance.
On behalf of the school, Ian Johnson said: “It was a super morning, our children were so excited to be chosen and had a fantastic time. Their knowledge of the game and skill level has improved considerably, and most importantly the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Most had never played snooker before. We’ve already organised a trip to Coventry to take the children to The Champion of Champions event, which has created huge excitement within the school. Thanks to the Cue Zone Into Schools team.”
