New Partnership With Tourism Exchange Great Britain


The World Snooker Tour has confirmed a partnership with Tourism Exchange Great Britain (TXGB) and launched their official online booking platform for accommodation and experiences across their multiple UK based events.

Fans will be able to use the platform starting with the Betfred World Championship in Sheffield, to connect them with multiple tourism suppliers across the towns and cities the World Snooker Tour visits.

Snooker has a rich history going back over 145 years and is played by over 100 million players in over 110 countries. With over 500 million fans around the world, the World Snooker Tour is broadcast in over 200 countries and has over 1 billion annual video views online.

Each year WST stages events in many locations around the UK including London, Sheffield and York, and tickets often sell out months in advance.

The booking platform will be integrated into the WST website and will show live availability and pricing for fans. It will also provide local businesses with the opportunity to engage the snooker fan base, analyse sales data and generate bookings.

TXGB, which was launched in 2019 in partnership with VisitBritain, addresses the fragmented tourism distribution landscape. It allows tourism businesses to broaden their distribution and allows distributors access to a wide range of bookable product.
