Master cue maker John Parris is supporting the WPBSA’s Cue Zone Into Schools Sheffield Inter Schools Championship by donating a Parris cue and case to each school, in recognition of one of development of Cue Zone Into Schools and Functional Snooker within schools.
Each of the 16 schools can nominate up to three children for the award, with one child per school winning the Parris cue and case.
Any child within the school can be nominated as long as they are in any year up to and including year 11.
Nominations should include details of how the young person has supported the:
Introduction of Cue Zone In Schools within school
Encouraged other children to take part
Helped deliver Cue Zone sessions
Encouraged children who may not normally get involved, such as children with confidence or disability issues
Encourage the school to develop Functional Snooker within its curriculum, to help children who may need a different approach to learn maths or English.
Closing date for nominations is Friday 17th April 2015.
Each of the nominations will be considered by a panel including John Parris, Steve Davis and other representatives to be confirmed.
The winners will be invited to the CZIS Sheffield Inter Schools Championship presentation ceremony on Friday 24th April at 12.00pm within Cue Zone in the Winter Gardens, Sheffield.
