Welsh snooker legend and 1979 World Champion Terry Griffiths has been supporting the Paul Hunter Foundation, together with Darren Morgan’s Red Triangle Snooker Club and Lee Walker at Mark Williams’ club in Tredegar.
The Matchroom Club in Llanelli was the setting for an initial ten week programme delivered by Phil Williams, where youngsters played snooker competitions, received coaching, took part in the snooker relay and sixty second challenge games.
Medals, trophies and certificates were on offer together with Paul Hunter Foundation cues and cases. This programme was delivered at the two other clubs alongside a Paul Hunter Foundation Roadshow day.
On behalf of the Foundation, Chris Lovell said: “It’s great to be supporting kids in Wales and getting them off the street in Paul’s name. To deliver snooker sessions with Paul’s friends and fellow professionals has been a special moment for all of the team involved. Many thanks to everyone for their support.”
