Bio

Taking up snooker in his home city of Beijing at the age of ten, Lyu made a century break just eight months later, and became Chinese Under-18 champion the day before his 11th birthday. He was only 14 when he got to his first ranking event quarter-final at the International Championship in 2012, and remains the youngest player ever to do so. Lyu was just three frames away from a place in the World Championship quarter-finals in 2017, and two years later reached his first ranking final at the Indian Open, going down to Matthew Selt.
