Bio

One of many exciting talents to emerge from the thriving Welsh amateur scene of the 1990s, Day contested four ranking finals without success before achieving his breakthrough at the age of 37 by winning the 2017 Riga Masters. Later that season he added the Gibraltar Open, and in 2022 landed the biggest title of his career by defeating Mark Allen in the British Open final. Day ended the title defence of John Higgins to reach the World Championship quarter-finals for the first time in 2008, the first of three appearances at that stage, but has yet to progress further.
