Bio

Walden had only once progressed further than the last 16 of a ranking event, and never past the quarter-finals, when he beat a succession of star names to win the 2008 Shanghai Masters, taking the title with a win over Ronnie O’Sullivan in the final. Two more ranking titles followed, also both in China, a golden spell which was followed by three more final appearances without further success. Walden was a semi-finalist in the 2013 World Championship but having led for most of the match, he was overtaken by Barry Hawkins in the closing stages.
