Bio

A product of the traditionally strong Lancashire scene, Burns had been on the tour just over five years when he reached his first ranking quarter-final at the 2017 Paul Hunter Classic. It was a run he emulated later that season at the Welsh Open, famously winning a best of seven along the way against Neil Robertson despite his opponent making three centuries. Having been relegated after nine years in 2021, Burns went to Q School and won a new two-year card, during which he did enough to stay on tour for a twelfth successive season.
