Bio

Twice runner-up in the English Amateur Championship, O’Donnell had never been past the last 16 of a ranking event before his run to the semi-finals of the 2018 Shoot Out. He reached three quarter-finals in just over two months later that year, including at the UK Championship, and in 2020 was in the top 32 for the first time, before falling off the tour at the end of the following season. O’Donnell got back on a year later by topping the Q Tour rankings. In February 2024 he enjoyed his best ever run in a ranking event, finishing runner-up to Gary Wilson at the Welsh Open.
