Career highlights:
1998: Wins the English Amateur Championship.
2003: Reaches the quarter-finals of a ranking event for the first time at the UK Championship, beating the likes of Marco Fu, Graeme Dott and Stephen Lee before losing to Stephen Hendry.
2004: Reaches the last 16 of the World Championship, beating Jimmy White at the Crucible then pushing Stephen Hendry all the way before losing 13-12.
2005: Quarter-finalist at the Grand Prix. Climbs to number 18 in the world.
2010: Wins his first professional title by beating Ronnie O’Sullivan in the final of Players Tour Championship event four. Pinches comes from 3-1 down to win 4-3, making a break of 64 in the deciding frame. Also reaches the final of another PTC event before losing to Mark Selby.
2019: Regains his tour card via Q School.
2021: Relegated from the tour but again bounces back via Q School, beating Sanderson Lam 4-3 in the final round of event two.
