Bio
Wilson fulfilled his greatest ambition in 2024 when he conquered the Crucible, beating Jak Jones 18-14 in the final of the Cazoo World Championship. That made him one of only 23 players to lift the famous trophy in Sheffield. And Wilson got to the top the hard way. After his first stint on the tour lasted only one season, Wilson had two years in the wilderness before returning to the professional game in 2013. Just two years later he achieved one of the most unexpected ranking titles ever at the Shanghai Masters, beating Judd Trump 10-9 in the final. He reached the Crucible final for the first time in 2020, losing 18-8 to Ronnie O'Sullivan, before landing the title four years later.
