Davies dropped off the pro tour at the end of the 2014/15 season.
He reached the last 64 of four world ranking events during the 2013/14 season. He also got to the last 16 of Asian Tour event one in China, winning three matches before losing to Yu Delu.
Davies gained a place on the main tour by coming through Q School in 2013. In the final round of event one he saw off Mitchell Travis 4-1 with a top run of 96.
He was the youngest ever winner of the English Amateur Championship in 2003 and played one season on the pro tour in 2007/08.
