2010: Turns pro and beats the likes of Stephen Hendry, Stephen Maguire and Alan McManus during his debut season.
2014: Reaches the quarter-finals of the UK Championship, knocking out John Higgins before losing to Ronnie O’Sullivan.
2015: Makes his Crucible debut and scores a surprise 10-9 win over Stephen Maguire in the first round. Registers a much bigger shock in the last 16 when he knocks out defending champion Mark Selby, winning 13-9. Loses to Shaun Murphy in the quarter-finals.
2016: Wins his first ranking title at the Indian Open in Hyderabad. Beats the likes of Stuart Bingham, Stephen Maguire and Shaun Murphy to reach the final, before a 5-2 defeat of Kyren Wilson gives him the trophy.
2017: Doubles his tally of ranking titles by beating Xiao Guodong in the final of the one frame Shoot Out in Watford. Makes a bold attempt to defend his Indian Open title, reaching the final before losing to John Higgins. Climbs into the top 16.
2020: Reaches the one-table setup at the Crucible for the first time, losing an epic World Championship semi-final with Kyren Wilson 17-16.
2021: Scores an epic 13-12 win over Ronnie O’Sullivan in the last 16 of the World Championship before losing to Stuart Bingham in the quarter-finals.
2022: Reaches the semi-finals of the Northern Ireland Open before losing to Zhou Yuelong.
2023: Reaches the quarter-finals at the Crucible, knocking out Judd Trump and Jack Lisowski before a narrow 13-12 defeat against Si Jiahui.
