Bio
Wilson came through an exceptional field to win the World Under-21 Championship in 2004 and turned professional the same year, but dropped off the tour after two seasons and took a series of other jobs including driving a taxi. Returning to the circuit following a seven-year absence, he lost two ranking finals before lifting his first title at the 2022 Scottish Open. During a career-best 2023/24 season, he successfully defended the Scottish Open crown, then added the Welsh Open to bring his tally of ranking titles to three. Wilson’s best Crucible showing was a run to the semi-finals in 2019.
