Bio

Si was a 17-year-old first-season professional when he knocked out defending champion Stuart Bingham on his way to the last 16 of the 2019 English Open. He was relegated in 2021 but returned a year later and enjoyed an incredible run at the 2023 World Championship, becoming the first Crucible debutant for 28 years to reach the semi-finals. From 14-5 up, he fell victim to one of snooker’s greatest ever comebacks as Luca Brecel beat him 17-15. At the 2024 German Masters, Si reached his frst ranking final before losing 10-5 to Judd Trump. He had to accept another runner-up spot at the 2024 Wuhan Open, losing 10-7 to Xiao Guodong, having made his first official 147 against Trump in the semi-finals.
