Ranking titles: 1 – 2022 European Masters
Career highlights:
2017: Wins the World Under-21 Championship, beating Luo Honghao 7-6 in the final. That earns him a two-year card on the World Snooker Tour.
2018: Reaches the last 64 of the International Championship.
2019: Makes the last 32 of the English Open.
2020: Falls off the circuit, but immediately bounces back by coming through Q School to retain professional status.
2022: Reaches his first ranking quarter-final at the German Masters. A few weeks later, makes a much bigger breakthrough with triumph at the European Masters in Milton Keynes. Fan knocks out the likes of Kyren Wilson and Yan Bingtao to reach the final, then edges out Ronnie O’Sullivan 10-9 thanks to a superb break of 92 in the deciding frame. That makes him the fifth player from mainland China to win a ranking event, joining Ding Junhui, Liang Wenbo, Yan and Zhao Xintong.
