Page’s much-anticipated graduation to the professional circuit was secured in 2019 when he won the European Under-21 championship, beating Ross Bulman 5-1 in the final in Israel.
Page had been touted as a promising up-and-comer for several years – particularly by his practice partner and mentor Mark Williams. In 2017 he reached the last 32 of the Welsh Open at the age of just 15.
Over the following two years he competed as an amateur and scored some impressive results as a ‘top-up’ in ranking events, notably reaching the last 16 of the 2018 Paul Hunter Classic, winning three matches before losing to Scott Donaldson.
He is a former world and European under-18 champion.
In 2020 he twice reached the last 16 of the European Masters – the first time in Austria and the second in Milton Keynes. In the latter he beat Jack Lisowski and Luca Brecel before losing to Judd Trump.
