2016: Wins the European Amateur Championship. Knocks Ding Junhui out of the English Open to reach the last 16.
2018: Regains his tour card via Q School.
2019: Reaches the last 16 of the Riga Masters and International Championship, beating Mark Williams in the latter.
2020: Reaches the quarter-finals of the English Open, his best run in a ranking event. Knocks out the likes of Jack Lisowski and Matthew Stevens before losing to John Higgins.
2021: Reaches the last 16 of the German Masters, knocking out Kyren Wilson and Liang Wenbo.
2022: Reaches the semi-finals of a ranking event for the first time at the Gibraltar Open, beating the likes of Luca Brecel, Neil Robertson and Stuart Bingham before losing to Robert Milkins.
2023: Enjoys a tremendous run to the quarter-finals of the World Championship. Wins three qualifying matches to earn a Crucible debut, then knocks out Ali Carter and Neil Robertson to reach the last eight, before a narrow 13-10 reverse against Mark Allen. The £50,000 cheque is by far the biggest of his career.
