Heathcote earned a place on the pro tour for the first time by coming through Q School in 2019. He came from 3-0 down to beat Si Jiahui 4-3 in the final of event two.
And he made a strong start to his pro career, beating Ryan Day and Noppon Saengkham in the qualifying rounds of the Riga Masters and International Championship. His best run of his opening season on tour saw him reach the last 32 of the 2019 English Open. Heathcote also lost out to Alan McManus in the final round of World Championship qualifying. He was named Rookie of the Year.
Heathcote is a former Junior European Champion at eight ball pool.
