Career highlights

2012: Competing as a wild card, reaches the quarter-finals of the International Championship at the age of just 14, beating Michael White and Dominic Dale before losing to Neil Robertson.
2013: Turns pro for the first time. Reaches the final of an Asian Tour event before losing to Liang Wenbo. Otherwise struggles for results and drops off the tour in 2015.
2017: Wins the Asian Championship to regain his tour place. Reaches the semi-finals of the Northern Ireland Open.
2018: Makes his Crucible debut after coming through qualifying at the age of just 20. Beats Marco Fu 10-5 in the first round proper before losing 13-10 to Barry Hawkins. Gets to the semi-finals of the China Championship.
2019: Reaches the final of a ranking event for the first time at the Indian Open in Kochi. Wins six matches before losing 5-3 to Matthew Selt. Climbs into the world’s top 32 for the first time.
2020: Makes the semi-finals of the Shoot Out, before losing out against compatriot Zhou Yuelong.
2021: Qualifies for the Crucible for the second time in his career, but loses to Mark Allen in the opening round.
2022: Makes it to the Crucible for the third time, winning three qualifying matches before losing 10-5 to Stuart Bingham. Quarter-finalist at the British Open and Northern Ireland Open.
2023: Reaches the semi-finals of the Wuhan Open before losing to Ali Carter.
