1999: Reaches the quarter-finals of the UK Championship at the age of just 21.
2005: Reaches the last 16 of the World Championship, beating Paul Hunter before losing to Steve Davis.
2010: Wins his first pro title at a Players Tour Championship event in the Czech Republic, the Prague Classic, beating John Higgins 4-3 in the final.
2011: Wins another PTC event thanks to a 4-2 final victory over Dominic Dale.
2013: Reaches the semi-finals of the Shanghai Masters, knocking out Judd Trump, before losing to Xiao Guodong.
2014: Reaches his highest ranking of 20th.
2016: His first appearance in a full ranking event final comes at the Riga Masters in Latvia, but he loses 5-2 to Neil Robertson. Earlier in the year he beats Robertson 10-6 in the last 32 of the World Championship before going out in the last 16 at the Crucible against Mark Williams.
2019: Reaches his second ranking final at the Shoot Out in Watford, but denied the title by Thepchaiya Un-Nooh.
2020: Wins his first ranking title after 24 years as a pro, beating Zhou Yuelong in the final of the Shoot Out.
