1998: Qualifies for the Crucible for the first time (and only time so far), losing 10-4 to John Parrott.
1999: Beats John Higgins 5-1 on his way to the quarter-finals of the China Open.  Climbs to 42nd in the world.
2009: Enjoys a superb run to the quarter-finals of the UK Championship, beating the likes of Marco Fu and Mark Williams before losing to Stephen Maguire.
2016: Knocks Neil Robertson out of the UK Championship, reaching the last 32.
2018: Reaches the semi-finals of a ranking event for the first time at the Paul Hunter Classic, before a narrow 4-3 defeat against Kyren Wilson.
