Career highlights
2007: Reaches his first ranking final at the Malta Cup, losing to Shaun Murphy. Gets to another final at the Shanghai Masters but denied the title by Dominic Dale.
2008: Beaten by 9-7 John Higgins in the Grand Prix final. Climbs to number six in the world. Knocks Higgins out of the World Championship in the last 16, earning one of three Crucible quarter-final appearances.
2014: Makes his first official 147.
2017: Wins his first ranking title at the Riga Masters. Beats Stephen Maguire 5-2 in the final in Latvia. Runner-up to Barry Hawkins at the World Grand Prix. Reaches his first Triple Crown semi-final at the UK Championship.
2018: Victory at the Gibraltar Open gives Day his second ranking title, beating Cao Yupeng 4-0 in the final. A week later he wins the invitation Romanian Open with final victory over Stuart Bingham.
2019: Reaches the final of the Gibraltar Open before losing to Stuart Bingham.
2020: Makes a 147 at the Championship League.
