Mifsud first turned pro back in 1991 and has had several spells on the pro tour. He regained his place in 2019 by winning the Oceania Championship for the third time. He beat Kurt Dunham 6-4 in the final in Sydney.

His last full season on the pro tour came in 2007-08.

The Australian won the World Amateur title in 2002, beating Tim English 11-6 in the final.

Mifsud represented Australia at the World Cup in 2011 and 2019.
