Q School 2020
Do you have the talent, ambition and determination to become a professional snooker player? Here’s your chance to earn your tour card.
Q School 2020 starts on May 18 at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield. There will be three tournaments, with the four semi-finalists in each one to earn a place on the World Snooker Tour for the 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons. So in total there will be 12 tour cards available (at this stage there are no plans to issue cards to the next four players on the Q School Order of Merit).
The event is open for entry now and will close for entry on Wednesday, 8 April 2020 at 12 noon.
Entry into our events is via the tournament online entry system (www.wsplayers.com), and by logging on using your unique username and password.
All entrants will be drawn to play in three individual knock-out tournaments which will be run consecutively. All matches will be best of seven frames. The entry fee is £1,000.

WST Chairman Barry Hearn said: “Our tour is going from strength to strength. Players are travelling the globe, living in the limelight and competing for millions of pounds in prize money. Next season we have a huge event in Saudi Arabia, and we are always looking towards growing the sport around the globe.
“Q School is a fantastic event because it’s all about ability. Everyone starts on a level playing field, and the talent will rise to the top. And even those who don’t earn a tour card can still gain entry into certain ranking events if they finish high enough on the Q School Order of Merit.
“We have seen some fantastic players come through Q School in the past and go on to great things, such as David Gilbert who is now among the top 16 and living the dream of a player on the global stage.
“We are delighted to stage the event at Ponds Forge in Sheffield this year as it is a top class venue. And it’s just a stone’s throw from the Crucible – where those who ‘make it’ could one day be stepping out.
“My advice to any player from around the world – male or female – is that if you believe you are good enough, then get your name down and start practising. Q School is the chance to pursue your biggest ambition.”
