Robertson Up To Fourth

Jimmy Robertson has jumped to fourth place on the one-year ranking list following his victory at the D88.com European Masters.

Sussex cueman Robertson won the first ranking title of his career by beating Joe Perry 9-6 in the final in Belgium on Sunday. The £75,000 prize was by far the biggest of his career so far and he flies up 96 places to fourth, behind Mark Selby, Mark Williams and David Gilbert.

Perry banked £35,000 and he climbs nine places to eighth. Anthony Hamilton is up 11 spots to 13th after reaching the semi-finals, while Mark King also lost in the semis and he jumps from 31st to 15th.

The one-year list will be used to determine the fields for the Ladbrokes Series later in the season. Only the top 32 will qualify automatically for the Ladbrokes World Grand Prix in Cheltenham (February 4-10), then the top 16 go on to the Ladbrokes Players Championship in Preston (March 4-10), and only the top eight will make it to the new Ladbrokes Tour Championship in Llandudno (March 19-24).

In the official two year world rankings, Robertson is up ten places to a career-high of 26th, while Perry leaps from 25th to 18th.

Perry is up to 19th in the Race to the Masters which will become the world rankings at the end of the UK Championship, with the top 16 to earn a place at the Masters in January. With four ranking events to go, only £40,475 separates Stuart Bingham in 16th place from Yan Bingtao in 23rd.

Hossein Vafaei pulled out of the final stages of the European Masters due to a visa issue but has been awarded his prize money for winning in the qualifying round. 

Mohammed Ibrahim has decided to withdraw his status as a tour player so has been removed from the ranking lists.
