Tour rookie Oliver Lines scored one of the shock results of the season so far by coming from 4-0 down to beat Mark Selby 6-4 in the International Championship qualifiers.
The result means that World Champion and world number one Selby will not be present at the fourth ranking tournament of the season in Chengdu, China next month.
Leeds cueman Lines, age 19, earned a place on the circuit by winning the European Under-21 Championship and showed his potential with a superb fight back against Selby.
Breaks of 57, 78, 92 and 115 helped Selby win the first four frames before Lines knocked in 84 and 76 for 4-2. In the pivotal seventh frame, Selby made 62 but then Lines got the snooker he needed and cleared from the last red to snatch it.
A run of 80 made it 4-4 and another cool clearance, 28, in the next saw Lines edge ahead. He then got the better of a scrappy 37-minute tenth frame to seal the result.
Matthew Stevens saw off Michael Leslie 6-3 with a top break of 108 while Peter Ebdon made a 136 in a 6-2 defeat of David Grace.
