Sheffield Charities To Benefit From Special Snooker Celebration

All proceeds from the special show celebrating 40 years of World Championship snooker in Sheffield will go to local charities.

Next Friday, April 14th, the 40th Anniversary Celebration of Sheffield’s World Snooker Championship will take place at the Crucible Theatre.

A limited number of tickets are still available, costing just £20 for fans to be a part of this unique occasion.

And all proceeds will be divided between Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, Weston Park Cancer Charity and Cavendish Cancer Care.

An array of snooker’s all-time greats will be present on the night, including former World Champions:

Players competing in this year’s Championship will also be present.

Running from 6pm to 7.15pm, the show will include live interviews with these green baize legends, together with videos of the classic Crucible moments. It’s a chance for fans to immerse themselves in the rich 40-year history of snooker in Sheffield.

The event is staged by World Snooker and Sheffield City Council and it will be preceded by a green carpet parade of all players and former Champions in Tudor Square from 5pm to 5.50pm.
