Snooker Fan Cam Comes To Meadowhall
Here’s your chance to get involved with snooker’s Betfred World Championship and even touch the famous trophy!
Fan Cam takes place in Meadowhall Shopping centre in Sheffield, from 1pm to 3pm this Saturday (April 25th). All fans and passers-by will have the chance to meet a referee, ask questions and give their opinions about snooker and this year’s Championship, which is running at the Crucible Theatre until May 4. There will also be the opportunity to lift the famous trophy.
The best comments and questions from fans will be captured on video and put together for a special feature on our YouTube channel and other platforms.
So if you want to give your views on who is going to conquer the Crucible this year, which player has the worst haircut, or anything else snooker-related, now’s your chance.
Our team will be based at the Lower Arcade close to Marks and Spencer. Come along and get involved with Fan Cam!
And if you are in Sheffield between now and May 4 to celebrate the Championship being in the city, “Cue Sheffield” is a bunch of free-to-attend BBC programmes and events taking place in Sheffield.
Highlights include:
– 6 Music: Jarvis Cocker’s Sunday show (with Steve Davis) & a Steve Lamacq hosted gig at the Leadmill
– R2’s The Ken Bruce Show
