Steve Docherty

Steve Docherty, a senior director who worked on the BBC’s coverage of snooker events for over 25 years, sadly passed away this week at the age of 60 after suffering a heart attack.

Steve was a key figure in the IMG team who produce snooker for the BBC, and played a significant role in the presentation of the sport. He will be much missed by everyone in the snooker community.

WST and WPBSA wish to pass on deepest sympathies to Steve’s family, friends and colleagues.

Steve also worked on various other sports including rugby and cycling. There is a tribute to him from journalist Ned Boulting on this podcast.
