Top Snooker Stars Heading For Crawley
Mark Selby, John Higgins, Jimmy White, Shaun Murphy, Kyren Wilson and World Champion Mark Williams are among the snooker kings who have already entered next month’s English Open in Crawley.
The world ranking event runs from October 15 to 21 at K2 Crawley with 128 players chasing the Steve Davis trophy and a top prize of £70,000.
The entry deadline for players is October 3rd and many more of the sport’s top stars are expected to join the field before that date.
Ronnie O’Sullivan won the title last year, beating Kyren Wilson in the final in Barnsley. The tournament now moves to Crawley for the first time.
Televised by Eurosport and Quest, it is the first of the season’s Home Nations series, to be followed by tournaments in Belfast, Glasgow and Cardiff. Any player winning all four trophies will bank a massive £1 million bonus.
Tickets are on sale now and start at just £10 – and with up to eight tables in play during the early rounds, it’s tremendous value for the chance to see many of the best cuemen on the planet show their skills. For ticket details CLICK HERE
A spokesman for World Snooker said: “We are thrilled to bring a major tournament to Crawley for the first time and this is a superb opportunity for the people of Sussex and beyond to enjoy live snooker at the highest level. Tickets have sold quickly so far so fans must book now or risk missing out.
“We will confirm the full line up and the draw after the closing date and we expect the field to be packed with the leading stars.”
