The 2023 Championship League ranking event, promoted by Matchroom Multi Sport, gets underway from June 26 to 30 at the Morningside Arena in Leicester.

The 128 players are initially split into 32 groups of four.
Those 32 winners go into eight groups of four.
Those eight winners go into two groups of four.
Those two winners contest the final.

All matches in stages one to three will be played over four frames (if a match finishes 3-0 the fourth frame will not be played). The final will be played over best of five.

In stage one, groups will be made up of four players, with players seeded according to World Ranking and one player from each seeding pool (1-32, 33-64, 65-96, 97-128). Players will be awarded three points for a win and one point for a drawn match. The group table standings will be determined by the following criteria, in this order:

1) Most points.
2) Net frame difference.
3) Result of match between the two players in question (should three or more players be tied then a mini table will be produced using the criteria above).
4) Highest break in the group.
5) If the highest break is also tied, the next highest break made by the players in question will be used.

Luca Brecel won the 2022 BetVictor Championship League ranking event, beating Lu Ning 3-1 in the final. For the match report click here
