Trump – Selby Clash Would Be Incredible

Judd Trump would relish the chance to go head-to-head with Mark Selby in the semi-finals this week, with the £150,000 BetVictor European Series bonus on the line.

Both players need to win three more matches to get that far, but they remain on course to clash in the semi-finals of the BetVictor Gibraltar Open on Sunday. Trump currently leads the BetVictor European Series rankings, with an advantage of £6,500 over Selby. But if Selby reaches the final he will go ahead and bank the huge bonus.

“It would be an incredible match-up, drawing a lot of fans in,” said Trump. “I haven’t played Mark for a while. He has come back to form and been super-consistent this year. Over a best-of-seven match anything can happen. I’m sure you’d see a few twitches from both of us!”
