Un-Nooh Misses 147 Again

Thailand’s Thepchaiya Un-Nooh missed the final black when set for a 147 at the Betfred World Championship qualifiers on Tuesday.

It’s the second time this season that Un-Nooh has missed the black on 140 having done so at the UK Championship in December. On that occasion it costs him a possible £44,000 bonus, while today’s miss might have cost Un-Nooh an £8,500 bonus plus the £1,000 high break prize.

World number 35 Un-Nooh is up against Anthony McGill in the final qualifying round today, and victory would earn him a Crucible debut. His 147 attempt came in the fourth frame and left the score at 2-2.
